The Curse of Salman Rushdie Shattered the Ayatollah
A rational observer of history and reality has no need to believe in inherited superstitions or metaphysics to understand the dynamics of the world and the logic of conflicts. I do not believe in the existence of gods, nor in the farce of fate and destiny, nor in the vague concepts of trials or divine punishment, just as I do not buy into the illusions of karma and automatic cosmic balance. The laws governing this world are purely material, political, and military, subject to the balance of power, science, and reason. What modern history is witnessing—namely the collapse of extremist axes—is not the product of heavenly wrath or divine vengeance, but rather the natural and inevitable result of the collision between obscurantist reactionism and the pinnacle of scientific and military capability offered by modern Western civilization.
The story began when the terrorist cleric Ruhollah Khomeini, who falsely claimed the title of Ayatollah, issued a fatwa declaring it permissible to kill the writer Salman Rushdie merely for exercising his natural human right to freedom of expression and thought. That fatwa was a stark embodiment of the deep terror that free speech instills in backward theocratic regimes. A regime that derives its legitimacy from sacred myths trembles with fear before the pen, irony, and critique. After Khomeini perished without achieving his objective, Ali Khamenei succeeded him at the helm of this terrorist project, and the pursuit of Rushdie continued for decades until an indoctrinated terrorist, fueled by the regime's ideology, attempted to assassinate him in twenty twenty-two in a cowardly attack that revealed the true face of cross-border state terrorism.
However, the logic of force and history does not bend to the illusions of divine dictatorships. The following years witnessed dramatic transformations and rapid events that ultimately led to the tables being turned on the instigators in a striking manner. These individuals, who portrayed themselves to the credulous masses as signs of God and his exclusive representatives on Earth, and who built an empire of terror, repression, and proxy wars, found themselves face to face with overwhelming technological and military superiority. American and Israeli aviation shattered their leaders and centers of influence, reducing their illusions of expansion and dominance to dust in an outcome that was welcome and joyful news for anyone who embraces the values of freedom and humanity and hopes for the liberation of peoples from the grip of armed clergy.
This inevitable end provides conclusive proof that the system of backward divine dictatorships, which thrives on the repression of its own people and the enslavement of minds, harbors immense fear of the freedom of expression enshrined in the West. This regime knows full well that the logic of free thought dismantles its false sanctity, and that its military and political power is merely a bubble incapable of standing up to the true strength of the West, which is built on science, technology, and individual freedom. What occurred was neither divine retribution nor mystical karma, but rather the realization that strength, freedom, and reason always triumph over ignorance, terrorism, and religious despotism.
